How a lazy mamma gets motivated

I don't know about y'all but i am lazy... especially when it comes to getting out of bed and getting the day started and with being prego i am 10x more lazy, i mean i could stay in bed all day,  But with a busy 18 month old that's pretty much impossible. I thought i would jot down some of the things that iv learned from other mommies and what has been working for me to get me up, ready and motivated for my unpredictable day

  • First things first i start my day with a cup of tea or coffee its been tea lately i look foward to this warm goodness every morning
  • Shower and get dressed i know that's kinda like duh but this is the hardest thing for me i have to make myself do this  i could stay in my PJ's all day long and not have any problems with it( why waste a cute outfit on paint stains and poopy diapers) , but iv noticed i get so much more done when i shower, get dressed and put on a little make up annnd i feel better too
  • Eat a nice healthy breakfast this gives me strength and energy
  • Turn on the web stream or some up beat music and get your praise and worship on
  • Have a "to do list" made  of things you want to get done for the day and mark them off as you get them done
  • Ask the lord for grace and speak life over your day Ex. "Today is gonna be a good day I know the lord has something special planned"
  • Take a morning walk and get some fresh air
  • Go to bed early your gonna need that sleep

I love Baby Wise

July 5, 2010 at 11:30 pm 7 pounds,4 ounces and 18inches long; my Mariah Elise was born, I have been blessed with a gift from God. Its my first time as a mom and I definitely didn't know all the do's and dont's of motherhood.  Six weeks after bringing my daughter home having her sleep all day and staying awake all night, crying and me not  knowing what is wrong and on top of that i was completely exhausted because of lack of sleep and i was breastfeeding  uhh i prayed and was like "something has got to change!" A friend of mine (who was expecting her first child) bought
me a book called On Becoming Baby wise by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam. This book I am telling you has saved my life I don't know what i would have done with out it. My daughter has been sleeping 8hr plus at night since week 7 she eats well and get complements all the time for being a happy and well behaved baby and i give credit to baby wise. The schedule and information that is given in the book is stuff that nobody tells you. Once my daughter started getting the rhythm and hang of things, which only took a week, she was well rested which lead to her being aware, happy and energetic and that allowed her to learn and develop during the day because she wasn't tired and grumpy. I also get lots of peaceful sleep so Iam able to play with her, teach and care for her the way I need to. I believe putting a baby on a schedule is awesome and its whats best for baby, mommy and the whole family. <3
