Tupperware party

I gave Mariah her  own cabinet in the kitchen that she is allowed to open and play in. I filled it with extra Tupperware , some plastic lids, spoons, ice tray and toys .You know stuff we don't really use, this kept her occupied for 45 min today!!

I was able to wash dishes, cook breakfast and clean a little bit while she just sat and played

I read about  giving your baby a" cabinet to explore" in a magazine while I was pregnant 

Its such a good idea

I need some Mommy Time

I have had a couple mammas message me with the question "how do you have the time?....time to blog, time to pray, read,ect,"

Well for the first 2-3 months of having my daughter I felt like I never could do anything I needed or wanted to do  I felt kind of weighed down with catering to her( which is what a mommy does) but i knew in order to stay pleasant I needed some Me time daily.So  I made  a promise saying that I would have at least an hour at the beginning of the day to myself even if Mimi was awake.

I wake up every morning with Mariah at 7am and for the first hour of the day I spend time with the Lord (reading, worshiping and praying) while Mariah is playing. I put her in a place where I can see her but she can't see me and i surround her with all her favorite toys,books and stuffed animals. This gives Mariah an opportunity to play independently and me my time :)  and it works so well we haven't ever had a problem even now that she is crawling!! and as for blogging i usually do it while she is napping and save cleaning and stuff around the house for when she is awake.

p.s 

If  your afraid your baby will get into stuff try letting them play in a pack and play, start slow try 10min the first time and then work your way up
