Okay ladies! breastfeeding has to be one of the best things about being a mommy in my opinion its just so rewarding to actually be the source of your babies nutrients and food, to able to see your baby growing healthy and strong and its all due to the milk that you are producing its like wow God is amazing! The Biggest thing that has helped me during my breastfeeding journey would have to be the setting. Iv learned that being in a quiet room with dim lights, everything i need close by (snacks, blankets, paper towels, pillows ect.) and a comfy couch or chair has made breastfeeding a breeze. And i know its hard to do that when your out in about, but when your home i highly recommend setting a place up just for that its helped so much for me and for baby. It also gives you time to just stop and rest for a little while. Stop cleaning and washing and doing everything else and just sit in peace and quiet for 30 min and enjoy holding your precious one.I keep my milk up by Making sure I eat..alot dont worry about gaining weight because you will burn it off , but when you eat 3 meals a day and snacks in between thats what keeps your milk supply up. Of course eat healthy and drink lots of water. Iv also heard that having skin on skin contact with mommy and baby helps produce milk so before you give baby a bath try having some skin on skin time, but the thing that helps the most is breastfeeding. Its fine to pump but the more baby feeds on the breast the more milk you will produce its like your body knows if its the baby or a pump. If your having soreness and dryness try not using soap on your breast it keeps it from drying out also try using a natural oil like coconut oil, olive oil , grape seed oil ect. when you get out of the shower it softens the skin and adds moisture. Make sure baby is latched on to the whole nipple if not unlatch and try again. We were made to breastfeed so take your time and be patient.
p.s this nursing cover saved my life!!
